NET Developer | AWS | Contract
RecOps is recruiting a C#/.
NET Developer for a technology consultancy delivering a public-sector programme, with Leeds as the base location.
This is a hands-on development role requiring a genuine consultancy mindset. Beyond writing good code, you'll work closely with the client, question assumptions and contribute ideas that improve technical decisions and delivery.
The role:
- Build and improve applications and services using C#/.NET and AWS.
- Work alongside developers, architects and delivery colleagues to shape practical technical solutions.
- Contribute to code reviews, automated testing and engineering standards.
- Challenge existing approaches constructively, explaining alternatives and helping the team make better decisions.
- Take ownership of your work, raising risks early and helping resolve delivery blockers.
What we're looking for:
- Strong commercial development experience with C# and .NET.
- Hands-on experience building and supporting applications on AWS.
- A solid grounding in API development, automated testing and maintainable code.
- Previous consultancy or comparable client-facing delivery experience.
- Confidence explaining technical trade-offs, questioning requirements and recommending improvements.
The consultancy side matters. You should be comfortable speaking up when something could be done better, backing your view with sound reasoning and listening to other perspectives. We need someone who can positively influence the team, not simply work through a backlog.
