Key Responsibilities:

  • Update and maintain accurate manual and computerised records
  • Input orders onto the schuh system and check confirmations
  • Action any order amendments under the direction of the Buying team
  • Liaise with suppliers to help manage critical path
  • Work with the Buying team to ensure deliveries are running on time
  • Processing samples received, managing post
  • Chasing samples and maintaining the sample log
  • Preparing samples for meetings
  • Liaising with other Head Office departments when required
  • Produce, maintain and collate reporting information
  • Demonstrate basic understanding of Trade and Monday reporting
  • Show understanding of competition
  • Complete store visits and comp shops where relevant

Job Title : Buyer’s Admin Assistant (BAA) – Maternity Cover
Reports To : Assistant Buyer

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
We have an exciting opportunity for a BAA to join the team on a fixed term basis. This position can be located in either our London or Scotland offices, (hybrid working, 2-3 days a week in the office). The ideal candidate will have great communication skills, including excellent written English and strong numeracy skills. Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy is essential. You will be super organised and have the ability to work well under pressure alongside being a team player yet have the ability to work on your own initiative in a fast paced environment. Keyboard skills and good knowledge of Excel is also required and lastly, of course, a commercial understanding of the high street and passion for Shoes!
