Summary: The Buyer/Planner role in Sheffield involves managing material requirements and sourcing materials for a precision engineering business. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage material requirements to meet production schedules, ensuring resource readiness and inventory optimisation
- Source materials in line with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards whilst utilising dual sourcing strategies
- Monitor supplier performance, address delivery issues and mitigate risks across the supply chain
- Maintain accurate planning data within the MRP system and report on key KPIs such as OTIF, lead times and inventory turns
- Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction through enhanced planning, supplier negotiation, and process optimisation
Key Skills:
- Previous experience in a technical environment - precision engineering, aerospace, automotive manufacturing etc
- MRP experience and strong Excel skills

Elevation Recruitment Group are excited to be working exclusively with a dynamic precision engineering business in Sheffield who are looking for a Buyer/Planner to join their team for a 12 month contract.
