Summary: The Sourcing Specialist (Buyer) role at a well-known engineering company in the electrification industry involves supporting the Indirect Sourcing Team in supplier negotiations and management. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Indirect Sourcing Team to identify, select and negotiate with suppliers to get the most competitive offer.
  • Experience with majority if not all Indirect Commodities, MRO, FM, Professional Services, Labour, IT and Utilities.
  • Ensure all active suppliers are approved and compliant (Supplier Connect / Complyworks).
  • Enforce supplier strategy & Sourcing policies including management and optimization of supplier panels.
  • Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers.
  • Support budget planning and deliver Sourcing deflation and payment targets.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions.
  • Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc.
  • Support the UK Indirect team to resolve Supplier issues / support any related Sourcing related execution issues.
  • Leads payment dispute resolutions with AP / GEV stakeholders / Suppliers.
  • Utilises technical expertise and judgement to solve problems.
  • Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.
  • May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Key Skills:

  • 2 to 5 years experience in either procurement or Sourcing functions, preferably Indirect.
  • CIPS qualified - Nice to have/advantage.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.

Our client as well known engineering company within the electrification industry are currently looking to hire a Sourcing Specialist (Buyer).

Job Title: Sourcing Specialist / Buyer

Location: Staffordshire

Duration: 12 Months

Site Work: 2 Days Per Week in the Office

Hourly Rate: Competative - InsideIR35
