Summary: The Sourcing Specialist (Buyer) role at a well-known engineering company in the electrification industry involves supporting the Indirect Sourcing Team in supplier negotiations and management. The position requires experience in indirect commodities and compliance with supplier strategies. The role is based in Staffordshire and includes a mix of office and site work. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Indirect Sourcing Team to identify, select and negotiate with suppliers to get the most competitive offer.
- Experience with majority if not all Indirect Commodities, MRO, FM, Professional Services, Labour, IT and Utilities.
- Ensure all active suppliers are approved and compliant (Supplier Connect / Complyworks).
- Enforce supplier strategy & Sourcing policies including management and optimization of supplier panels.
- Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers.
- Support budget planning and deliver Sourcing deflation and payment targets.
- Negotiate terms and conditions.
- Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc.
- Support the UK Indirect team to resolve Supplier issues / support any related Sourcing related execution issues.
- Leads payment dispute resolutions with AP / GEV stakeholders / Suppliers.
- Utilises technical expertise and judgement to solve problems.
- Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.
- May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
Key Skills:
- 2 to 5 years experience in either procurement or Sourcing functions, preferably Indirect.
- CIPS qualified - Nice to have/advantage.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Established project management skills.

Required Qualifications
This role requires 2 to 5 years experience in either procurement or Sourcing functions, preferably Indirect.
