Our client is a well:established not for profit trust. They are now one of the UKs largest organisations in their field employing over 4000 people. Our client provides 70 care homes over six counties. They strive to remain at the forefront of innovative practice and care delivery.

Our client is looking for a Buyer for their Oxford office.

The ROLE

The Buyer Will Be Required To Work with the Head of Procurement and Category Managers. Undertake tenders to conclusion. Develop supplier relationships that will drive innovation, continual improvement and best practice. Maximise ROI on spend with third parties. Oversee new supplier requests. Oversee the day:to:day management of the Amazon Business account. 25 days holidays plus Bank holidays.

The CANDIDATE

Our client is looking for a Buyer with the following skills and experience: Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIPS) or completing a course of study working towards this. Demonstrable experience of key procurement activities including supplier selection processes (PQQ, RFI, RFQ, RFP, ITT, contract evaluation etc), and category strategy development. Awareness of supply risks and supply risk management. Some knowledge of commercial contracts. Knowledge of working with a P2P system. Strong communication, analytical and numerical skills.
