Summary: The Buyer role at Siemens Energy involves managing a diverse portfolio of suppliers within the Direct Procurement team, focusing on the timely delivery of hardware and services. The position requires proactive management of supply chain issues and collaboration with global commodity managers. Candidates will be responsible for the entire purchase order lifecycle, contributing to the energy transition through innovative technologies. This is a 6-month initial contract with potential for extension, operating Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that hardware & services are delivered on time, to the right quality and within budget.
• Proactively manage day to day supply chain issues.
• Drive performance improvement across the supply base.
• Leverage input & expertise from global commodity managers for local business requirements.
• Support the implementation and application of global Siemens Energy procurement tools & processes.

Key Skills:

• Qualified to degree level in a relevant technical or commercial subject or studying for MCIPS qualification.
• A minimum of 5 years experience in a project or engineering-based procurement environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Persistence, tenacity, ownership & problem-solving skills.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel.
