Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for selecting suitable suppliers and securing the supply of low volume Bespoke components.
• Review new component designs and find appropriate suppliers who can deliver the required new products.
• Source new and innovative low volume suppliers capable of meeting exacting quality standards.
• Familiarisation with project management principles to ensure parts are supplied to required quality standards and timelines.
• Proactively resolve supplier challenges and develop collaborative business relationships.
• Work collaboratively with team members in Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, and Design.

Key Skills:

• Good understanding of cost analysis and price negotiation with suppliers.
• Comprehensive understanding of vehicle component purchasing and new product development.
• CIPS qualification is advantageous.
• Professional experience in Purchasing or Supplier Quality Management in the automotive sector.
• Proven track record in a multi-project engineering environment.
• Familiarity with accreditations such as ISO9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, TS16949.
• Knowledge of Automotive Manufacturing Processes for various components.
• Experience managing the end-to-end production component purchasing process in an automotive NPI environment.
