Summary: The Finance Systems Business & Test Analyst role involves supporting the Accounts & Tax team during the implementation of a new Finance system and enhancements to partner systems. The position encompasses both Business Analyst and Test Analyst responsibilities, focusing on organizing tasks, analyzing data flow changes, developing operational models, and ensuring thorough testing of the new accounting platform. The role requires collaboration with team members and managing test strategies, execution, and defect resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organise and lead A&T tasks for a new accounting system and subsequent Finance system projects.
- Analyse data flow changes from the existing system to ensure reporting can be generated from the new platform.
- Develop a new operational model, update procedures, and facilitate user training.
- Ensure full testing of the new accounting platform meets business requirements.
- Perform testing with A&T team members and work with wider teams.
- Agree on test strategies, scope, and coverage.
- Create and validate test scripts.
- Manage a Requirements Coverage Matrix and collate test data.
- Execute tests and validate results.
- Publish regular Test Progress Reporting and document defects.
- Manage defect resolution and system refresh.
- Perform regular regression testing and document all test evidence.
- Manage the completion of testing and approval for implementation.

Paritas is working with a leading financial group on an upcoming project in which a Business & Test Analyst is required to support the Accounts & Tax team (A&T) during the implementation of a new Finance system and significant enhancements to partner systems
Principal deliverables
The role covers both Business Analyst and Test Analyst responsibilities:
Business Analyst Tasks:
- Organise and lead the A&T tasks for a new accounting system (CATS), as well as the subsequent Finance system projects (MLH and Calypso, and potentially a regulatory reporting system)
- Analyse data flow changes from the existing system, ensuring all reporting* at A&T can be generated from the new platform, including files to support the reporting.
- *Reporting includes external reporting (regulatory reporting and tax reporting) and internal reporting (head office reporting and within-branch reporting)
- Develop a new operational model, update the procedures, and facilitate user training at A&T accordingly.
Test Analyst Tasks:
- Ensure that the implementation of the new accounting platform has been fully tested and that it meets business requirements.
- Perform testing with A&T team members and work with the wider teams.
- Agree on test strategies, scope and coverage
- Responsible for Test Script creation & Validation
- Manage a Requirements Coverage Matrix
- Responsible for the collation of test data
- Test execution and validation
- Competent in the use of testing tools
- Publish regular Test Progress Reporting
- Document & Raise defects with technical teams
- Manage Defect Resolution & System Refresh
- Perform regular Regression Testing
- Ensure all Test Evidence is documented
- Manage the Completion of Testing and Approval for implementation
