Summary: The Business Systems Analyst role focuses on gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirements within the banking and financial sectors, particularly related to student loans. Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements.
  • Manage evolving requirements and scope changes throughout the project life cycle.
  • Identify functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
  • Perform detailed data analysis across multiple data sources.
  • Produce data mappings, sequence diagrams, process flows, and HLD inputs.
  • Support Agile delivery activities and work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Testers.
  • Track actions, dependencies, and stakeholder commitments through to completion.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience as a Business System Analyst, including at least 7 years in technical environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience analysing Oracle, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Excel, JSON, and CSV data sources.
  • Experience designing data flows, transformations, and source-to-target mappings.
  • Strong Agile and Scrum delivery experience.
  • Experience working directly with development teams to create practical solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership capability.
  • Significant client-facing experience.
  • Knowledge of APIs, system integrations, SQL, PL/SQL, MuleSoft, cloud migration, and web services environments.
  • Banking, Financial or Student Loans experience is highly desirable but not essential.

Business System Analyst Responsibilities
