Job Purpose
As a Business Support Officer, you will provide administrative and project support to the Children & Education Transformation Team, ensuring the effective coordination of projects, meetings, recruitment activities, and governance processes.
You will support a range of transformation initiatives by maintaining accurate records, coordinating stakeholders, and providing high-quality business support services.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Provide administrative and project support across multiple workstreams.
- Coordinate recruitment activities and maintain recruitment records and documentation.
- Manage shared mailboxes and respond to enquiries appropriately.
- Support the mobilisation and coordination of working groups and project teams.
- Maintain action logs, project trackers, risk logs, and governance documentation.
- Organise meetings, prepare agendas, and coordinate attendance.
- Take accurate minutes and distribute notes and actions following meetings.
- Monitor progress against actions and follow up with stakeholders as required.
- Maintain accurate records and electronic filing systems.
- Support reporting and project governance requirements.
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate project delivery.
- Provide general business support and administrative assistance to the Transformation Team.
Essential Experience Required
- Previous experience in a Business Support, Project Support, Administrative, or Coordination role.
- Experience supporting projects, programmes, or transformation initiatives.
- Experience managing shared mailboxes and handling enquiries.
- Experience maintaining trackers, action logs, and governance documentation.
- Experience organising meetings and taking minutes.
- Experience working in a busy administrative environment with competing priorities.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
Essential Qualifications Required
- Good standard of general education.
- Strong IT and administrative skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Relevant Business Administration qualification desirable but not essential.
Additional Information to Note
Working hours: 37 hours per week.
Location: Loxley House, Nottingham.
Hybrid working arrangement.
Office attendance required 2 to 3 days per week.
Contract Length: 3 months with potential extension.
Supplier submission deadline: 10th October 2026.
We work on bi-weekly payment schedule.
