Summary: The Business Solution Designer role at a leading logistics firm involves identifying, designing, and implementing modern systems to replace legacy platforms during a digital transformation. This collaborative position requires translating operational needs into scalable digital solutions while working closely with various stakeholders. The designer will lead discovery activities, document processes, and support the selection of new technology platforms. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead discovery and requirements gathering activities across business functions to understand operational needs and challenges.
  • Analyse and document current ("As-Is") processes and systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and automation.
  • Design future-state ("To-Be") solutions, ensuring alignment with business strategy and operational priorities.
  • Support the evaluation and selection of new technology platforms, including running vendor assessments and RFP processes.
  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating requirements into clear solution designs.
  • Work closely with architecture, data, and delivery teams to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with broader technology strategy.
  • Contribute to the implementation and rollout of new systems, ensuring business requirements are met and adoption is successful.
  • Support ongoing continuous improvement initiatives, helping the organisation evolve its digital capabilities.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Business Solution Designer within complex organisations.
  • Demonstrated experience in system discovery, evaluation, and implementation, particularly when replacing legacy platforms.
  • Background working in logistics, supply chain, transport, or other operationally complex industries is advantageous.
  • Experience working within digital transformation or large-scale system modernisation programmes.
  • Strong business analysis and process mapping capabilities.
  • Ability to design practical, scalable solutions that combine technology, data, and process improvements.
  • Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and requirements gathering sessions.
  • Understanding of enterprise SaaS platforms, integrations, and modern technology ecosystems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
