Summary: The Business Sales Executive role involves driving growth for a leading multi-trade event by building relationships and generating new business. Key Responsibilities:
- Converting leads from a comprehensive CRM system into confirmed sales of exhibition slots, ensuring high conversion rates
- Following up marketing generated leads through proactive phone calls, prioritising direct communication before email to build rapport and accelerate the sales process
- Generating new business opportunities by attending industry networking events, dinners, awards ceremonies and competitor trade shows across the UK and EU
- Achieving and exceeding sales revenue targets and KPIs through strategic planning, persistent outreach and effective negotiation
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners and cross-functional teams
- Monitoring industry trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and refine sales strategies
- Maintaining accurate sales records and producing regular reports on pipeline activity, progress and forecasting
Key Skills:
- Minimum of two years’ business development experience within sales, media, events, recruitment, or advertising industries
- Existing UK working rights
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Proactive, can-do attitude
- Confident and professional engagement with clients and stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail
- Energetic, friendly, and enthusiastic approach
- Ability to learn quickly in fast-paced environments
- Valid passport with availability for travel outside the UK
