Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure business and project management processes are followed within engineering programme teams.
  • Build and maintain robust integrated plans with all stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate resource and financial plans.
  • Identify and act on potential risks, opportunities, and workload changes.
  • Manage internal resourcing and external engineering service suppliers in line with policy.
  • Collate and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for effective performance management.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring on business/project management to engineering colleagues.
  • Onboard and mentor new members of the Business & Project Management support team.
  • Deputise for Engineering Programme Management at meetings (financials, resourcing, performance).
  • Support the implementation of best practices and new ways of working, enabling continuous improvement across programme teams.

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience in Business Management and/or Project Management.
  • Background in engineering, aerospace, defence or manufacturing preferred.
  • Skilled in resource planning, financial planning, and project controls.
  • Customer-focused, able to inspire and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Flexible, pragmatic, and analytical with great attention to detail.
  • Curious and innovative, keen to challenge the norm and drive improvement.

MERITUS Talent are working with one of the world's leading aerospace conglomerates for the recruitment of a Business & Project Management Partner to join their Bristol site on an initial 12 month contract. The role is hybrid, expecting someone to be onsite rougly 3 days a week, and is paying up to £39 per hour via Umbrella.

The Role

The team is looking for a Business & Project Management Partner to support our engineering programme teams. You'll play a key role in delivering operational management solutions for project & performance management, resource management, and people development , helping the engineering domain excel. You'll work closely with engineering teams to ensure processes are followed, risks are managed, and performance is tracked, while also acting as a mentor and trusted business partner.
