Summary: The Business Manager for Equity Trading within Nomura's Global Markets Division plays a pivotal role in supporting the Global Equities Structured Product business by enhancing revenue, profitability, and operational efficiency. This position involves comprehensive financial analysis, project management, and collaboration with various corporate functions to implement strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Global Equities Structured Product business in developing revenue, profitability, and efficiency.
- Review and analyze business performance metrics including pre-tax, brokerage, and cost base.
- Manage budget, expenses, and approvals for the business.
- Conduct financial analysis of costs and identify opportunities for strategic change.
- Prepare presentations for senior management and support strategic proposals.
- Promote global and regional best practices in systems and trade flow.
- Engage in project management for strategic initiatives and business expansion efforts.
- Build relationships and communicate effectively with business heads and senior managers.
- Collaborate with Corporate functions to meet formal corporate requirements.
- Adapt business strategies to comply with new legislation and regulations.
Key Skills:
- Degree or equivalent education, preferably in Mathematics or Finance.
- Knowledge of accounting concepts and financial analysis.
- Understanding of Equity Structured businesses.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Project management experience and ability to coordinate diverse inputs.
