Summary: The role of BI Business Analyst involves supporting a key project within a Business Intelligence/Insights Team by integrating and centralizing BI reports from various business functions. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and conduct data discovery to align reports with the Central Team's dashboards. Candidates should possess a strong background in BI, data analysis, and SQL querying, along with excellent communication skills. This contract position is based in Glasgow and is expected to last for six months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the integration and centralization of BI reports from various business functions into the Central BI Team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements.
- Conduct data discovery to align reports with Central Team dashboards.
- Utilize SQL querying to analyze large databases.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a BI Business Analyst in an agile, data-intensive environment.
- Strong background in Business Intelligence and Insights.
- In-depth knowledge of Data Discovery, Data Capture, Data Mapping, and Data Visualization.
- Expert SQL querying knowledge and experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, self-managing team player with a curious and flexible approach.
- German speaking/reading skills are advantageous but not essential.
- Experience in Central BI/Reporting/Insights/MI Teams or CoEs is advantageous.
