Summary: The Business Intelligence Architect (Power BI) role involves leading the design and delivery of a high-impact Inclusion Tool using Microsoft Power BI. This hands-on position requires the architect to take full ownership of the project, focusing on both back-end architecture and front-end development. The role demands collaboration with the Intelligence Hub team to create a robust data architecture and deliver user-friendly reporting solutions. The successful candidate will ensure a smooth handover to the internal team while maintaining high standards of documentation and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design a scalable, enterprise-grade Power BI architecture.
- Define and implement star-schema data models, shared dimensions, and conformed measures.
- Establish DAX patterns, KPI logic, dataflows, and refresh strategies.
- Enable governed self-service reporting and future extensibility.
- Work with analysts and data owners to identify authoritative data sources.
- Resolve data quality issues, definition mismatches, and gaps.
- Carry out data profiling and validation to ensure confidence in metrics.
- Document data lineage, assumptions, and known limitations.
- Build and optimise semantic models and performance-aware DAX measures.
- Implement data security where required.
- Design and deliver clear, user-focused dashboards aligned to Inclusion Tool objectives.
- Own delivery across a short, fixed timeframe, from scope definition through to final release.
- Translate business requirements directly into technical solutions.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Act as the single point of accountability for technical delivery.
- Support UAT and KPI validation.
- Produce clear, practical documentation covering models, measures, refresh processes, and design decisions.
- Complete a structured handover, ensuring the iHub team can confidently support and evolve the solution.
Key Skills:
- Extensive hands-on experience as a BI Architect, Power BI Architect, or Senior Power BI Developer.
- Expert knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Advanced DAX skills, including complex measures and performance tuning.
- Strong dimensional data modelling experience (star schemas).
- Solid SQL skills and experience with relational data sources.
- Proven delivery of enterprise-grade Power BI solutions.

Seven Resourcing are recruiting for an experienced Business Intelligence Architect / Power BI Architect to lead the design and delivery of a high-impact Inclusion Tool built in Microsoft Power BI. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role suited to someone who can add value immediately and take full ownership of a short, outcomes-driven project. You will work closely with the Intelligence Hub (iHub) team to shape the data architecture, develop robust semantic models, and deliver a polished, trusted reporting solution that can be confidently supported and extended after handover.
The Role
As the BI Architect, you will be responsible for the end-to-end technical delivery of the Inclusion Tool, covering both back-end architecture and front-end Power BI development. This is not a purely advisory position — you will be building, optimising, and delivering the solution yourself.
Key objectives include:
- Designing a scalable Power BI architecture aligned to longer-term organisational needs
- Developing high-quality semantic models, DAX measures, and governance standards
- Delivering intuitive, accessible dashboards for strategic and operational users

Key Responsibilities
