Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze complex datasets and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Document data flows, data dictionaries, and data mapping requirements.
  • Gather information about existing data structures, data sources, business processes, and system dependencies.
  • Analyze legacy application’s data model, data volumes, data quality, and usage patterns.
  • Capture and define business, functional, and non-functional requirements for data migration.
  • Identify data mapping requirements, transformation rules, validation needs, and migration constraints.
  • Work with business users to establish acceptance criteria for migrated data.
  • Identify gaps between the current data model and the target application’s data structure.
  • Support the development of the future-state data model and migration strategy.
  • Define high-level migration scope, including in-scope/out-of-scope data entities.
  • Assess risks, issues, and impacts related to data migration activities.
  • Document system and process dependencies that may influence migration planning.
  • Support the identification of data cleansing, archiving, and quality-improvement needs.
  • Produce clear documentation such as discovery findings, requirements specifications, data dictionaries, process maps, and gap analyses.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a structured and accessible manner.
  • Act as the communication bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.
