Summary: The Business Continuity & Resilience Specialist role involves leading a Business Continuity Planning (BCP) project for an insurance company on a 6-month contract. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the delivery of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery workstreams.
- Review and enhance BCP/DR strategies, runbooks, and operational resilience plans.
- Conduct technical resilience testing.
- Evaluate cloud provisioning and resilience capabilities (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Identify gaps across cloud infrastructure, applications, and continuity processes, proposing actionable improvements.
- Work closely with technology teams, third-party vendors, and senior stakeholders to ensure end-to-end readiness.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, or Operational Resilience.
- Solid knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP also considered).
- Background in technical testing, including failover and service continuity testing.
- Experience working with or managing third-party service providers.
- Understanding of BCP/DR frameworks such as ISO 22301, NIST, or FCA Operational Resilience (desirable).
