Summary: The Business Architect role within the EPR Programme focuses on delivering shared services for New Nuclear Build programmes in the UK. The position involves diagnosing, scoping, and managing projects while collaborating with various stakeholders and third-party partners. The Business Architect is responsible for developing project mandates, leading initial project phases, and ensuring alignment with business objectives throughout the project lifecycle. A strong emphasis is placed on business architecture delivery services and the ability to identify interdependencies across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with stakeholders to develop initial project concepts and clarify business objectives.
- Consult with senior management to capture and prioritize business requirements.
- Collaborate with third-party partners to evaluate and identify solution options.
- Develop mandates and investment cases for business architecture projects.
- Act as custodian for business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize knowledge of trends for continuous business improvement.
- Support business acceptance of developed solutions through testing and walkthroughs.
- Manage adherence to core delivery assurance principles.
Key Skills:
- Relevant qualifications and experience in business architecture disciplines.
- Knowledge of ONR licence conditions and implications for IT services.
- Experience in delivering solutions that improve business efficiency.
- Familiarity with formal project management techniques like Prince2.
- Experience with RFI and ITT activities, including evaluation scorecards.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Experience in developing business cases for complex change programmes.
