Role Summary - Business Architect (IBL Platform)

We are looking for a Business Architecture specialist to play a central role in designing and delivering a new application platform to support Investment Backed Loan (IBL) products. Operating within the Wealth Management Change function, the role defines end-to-end business architecture across the full IBL lifecycle-from origination and collateral management through to servicing and repayment-ensuring alignment with enterprise data models, regulatory obligations, and operational strategy.

The architect owns the target-state business architecture, leads design governance, and acts as a design authority throughout delivery. Responsibilities include shaping solution blueprints, defining logical and physical data models, ensuring integration with core banking, custody, CRM, and risk systems, and validating non-functional requirements such as scalability, resilience, and performance.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement across business, technology, compliance, security, vendors, and delivery partners, translating complex technical decisions into clear business outcomes. It also includes oversight of vendor platforms and deliverables to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, compliant, and aligned to The Bank's architectural standards and regulatory expectations (eg FCA, PRA, GDPR).

Overall, the role is pivotal in ensuring that the IBL platform is robust, compliant, and strategically aligned while supporting effective delivery and long-term product evolution.
