Summary: The Business Analyst role focuses on analytics, documentation, and requirements gathering to support agile teams in delivering user stories and features. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders and team members to ensure business objectives are met while adhering to agile standards. The analyst will also serve as a subject matter expert and facilitate communication between various parties involved in the project. This role is hybrid, allowing for a mix of remote and on-site work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform impact analysis and share findings to inform priority decisions and accelerate feature and user story definition and refinement
- Create, maintain, and share complex business flow diagrams such as process maps, data flows, lists of controls, and test cases
- Partner with team members to ensure a thorough understanding of relevant user stories and any viability constraints such as Legal, Compliance or RIM
- Assist the agile team in execution of testing as needed
- Serve as a subject matter expert for select products and/or processes
- Adhere to agile standards for the firm and your scrum or kanban team
- Assist/Participate in PI Planning and agile ceremonies
- Experience in business analysis and requirements gathering
- Write JIRA stories and story mapping with the PO based on business flow
- Proactively search for process improvement opportunities
- Create and maintain supporting documentation, Team Job Aids, and/or Workflow Documentation
- Provide a deep understanding of the end-user, client experience, and product capabilities to the product team
- Analyze and document business requirements
- Translate business needs into technical specifications
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the system meets business objectives
