Summary: The Underwriting Workbench Business Analyst will be instrumental in gathering requirements and facilitating the implementation of a new underwriting workbench for MS AUL. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of Lloyd's market operations and collaboration with various stakeholders. The analyst will engage in process mapping, gap analysis, and support the transition from legacy systems to the new workbench. The position is based in London with a hybrid working arrangement of three days on-site and two days remote.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with a third party to refine requirements from their analysis
  • Requirements gathering and stakeholder management
  • Process Mapping and gap analysis
  • Contributing to User Journeys and workflow design
  • Working with our central IT dept on data and integration requirements
  • Define and ensure integration of regulatory and compliance checks (e.g., sanctions, conduct risk, underwriting authority limits)
  • Solution evaluation UAT test planning and test script writing
  • Supporting the change manager by helping users transition from legacy processes to the new workbench
  • Being an important agile team member- participating in ceremonies and using Jira as our development workflow tool

Key Skills:

  • Requirements gathering, Process Mapping, Gap analysis and stakeholder Experience
  • Strong communication, ability to challenge and validate assumptions, detail oriented and able to deal with ambiguity and changing priorities
  • An understanding of Lloyd’s and London market
  • Experience of implementing a workbench or Policy Admin. system
  • Technical Acumen- some experience of data analysis, Integration Understanding and Agile delivery
  • Use of documentation and Tools- e.g. JIRA, Visio
  • Testing support - BA Tools, Documentation and Testing Support
  • Confident communicator to an array of audiences including Business and Technology
  • Experience working with 3rd party vendors to deliver requirements/support the development lifecycle

Underwriting Workbench Business Analyst

London 3 days per week, the rest remote working

The Underwriting Workbench (UWB) Business Analyst will play a critical role in gathering requirements, getting sign off from the business and driving the implementation of a new underwriting workbench for our client. This position requires a strong understanding of Lloyd's market operations, underwriting processes, and change management methodologies. The individual will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including the Programme Manager, Lead Business Analyst and the Product Owner, underwriters, operations teams, technology providers, and external vendors, and contribute to the implementation of the second phase of the Underwriting workbench at our client.

  • Working with a third party to refine requirements from their analysis
  • Requirements gathering and stakeholder management
  • Process Mapping and gap analysis
  • Contributing to User Journeys and workflow design
  • Working with our central IT dept on data and integration requirements
