Summary: The role of Business Analyst - Product Systems involves working with a global insurance broker to enhance communication between various teams, including Underwriting and IT. The position requires strong communication skills and experience with underwriting and Salesforce. It is offered on a hybrid working contract and classified as outside IR35. The analyst will be responsible for managing requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle and ensuring alignment between business and technical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The elicitation, analysis and validation of both system and business requirements to an appropriate level of detail to enable effective development of new or changed software, systems and business processes.
  • Working with Development Teams, Quality Assurance, Testing and Product Owners to identify change, agreeing scope, tracking progress & proposing solutions aligned to strategic goals and ambitions.
  • The management of requirements throughout the whole of the delivery lifecycle. Facilitating if necessary, the negotiation of trade-offs that are both acceptable to key stakeholders and within budgetary, technical, regulatory and any other constraints.
  • Act as the conduit between IT, Operations, Data and Finance teams ensuring requirements are understood and each stakeholder has appropriate involvement.
  • Create new and innovative approaches to performing business activities from previous experiences to develop new or improved products, services and/or improving effectiveness of business operations.
  • Cross check business requirements against technical requirements to ensure alignment and provide appropriate challenge to ensure successful business outcomes.
  • Writing of User Stories and Acceptance Criteria with detailed wireframes and all inputs/outputs carefully considered.
  • User testing of Features and User Stories developed following design and development.
  • Utilises market knowledge to bring the art of the possible and creative thinking to solving business challenges.

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge of the insurance lifecycle including working with quote and bind or policy administration systems.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and its cloud ecosystem
  • Ability to work quickly, efficiently and methodically
  • Experience of web and cloud technologies and agile methodologies
  • Very strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships with senior managers and other key internal and external stakeholders

Our client, a global Insurance broker, are currently looking to hire an Insurance Business Analyst with Underwriting and Business Systems experience such as Salesforce to join the team on a hybrid working contract basis. This role would be on an Outside IR35 contract basis.

This role is key in ensuring enhanced communication and understanding between the Underwriting, Operations, Data, Bordereaux and IT teams so strong communication skills are essential. Underwriting & Salesforce experience preferred.
