Business Analyst

Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Business Analyst on a hybrid basis in Bristol for an initial 6-month contract.

Job Purpose

The Technical Business Analyst is responsible for analysing and managing stakeholder needs and business requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle, ensuring full traceability from customer needs through implementation and verification, and coordinating stakeholders for delivering digital tools.

Key Accountabilities and Objectives

  • Analyse and organise stakeholder needs
  • Capture, analyse, document, and maintain business requirements.
  • Manage requirement baselines and change requests.
  • Maintain end-to-end traceability across lifecycle artifacts.
  • Support requirement decomposition and allocation activities.
  • Ensure consistency between stakeholder needs and technical implementation.
  • Participate in reviews and validation activities.
  • Produce and review deliverables and technical documentation.
  • Manage requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle.
  • Support impact assessments for requirement changes.
  • Coordinate with development and verification teams.
  • Ensure requirements remain consistent and up to date.

Governance

  • Ensure compliance with requirements engineering processes and standards.
  • Support audits and traceability reviews.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams to resolve requirement-related issues.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Experience in business analysis, and stakeholder needs and requirement management for delivering digital tools.
  • Expertise and practical experience in one of the following domains:
  • Model and Simulation (Synthetics)
  • Virtual and Physical Testing, Qualification, and Certification (ITEA)
  • Training and Through Life Support (TLS)
  • Experience in Aerospace or Defence projects delivering digital tools.
  • Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Knowledge of aircraft certification and qualification processes and regulatory compliance
  • Experience with regulated development environments.
  • Archimate and/or TOGAF
