Summary: The role of Business Analyst focuses on supporting a global consulting organization in a major transformation initiative within the financial services sector, specifically in insurance and reinsurance. This hands-on position requires collaboration across business and technology teams, leveraging strong domain expertise in reinsurance operations, pricing, and data processes. The successful candidate will engage in requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder management to enhance operational workflows. Key Responsibilities:
- Leading requirements gathering, process mapping and stakeholder engagement across business and technology teams
- Supporting reinsurance processes across treaty, pricing, exposure management, or data/reporting workflows
- Ensuring accurate flow of data across underwriting, actuarial, finance and reporting functions
- Identifying gaps, inefficiencies and control weaknesses across reinsurance operations and data processes
- Working closely with underwriting, actuarial, finance and operational stakeholders to improve processes
- Supporting transformation of data, controls and operational workflows across front and back-office systems
- Utilising tools such as JIRA / Confluence and working alongside core platforms (e.g. PAS, finance or data systems)
Key Skills:
- Strong Business Analyst experience within Financial Services (insurance / reinsurance essential)
- Proven exposure to reinsurance environments (e.g. treaty, facultative, pricing, data, or exposure management)
- Experience operating across underwriting, actuarial, finance or operations teams
- Demonstrable experience in transformation / change programmes (process, systems or data)
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to operate in data-heavy or process-driven environments
- Confident stakeholder manager, able to operate in fast-paced delivery settings
- London Market or reinsurance firm background (nice to have)
- Experience with pricing, exposure management, bordereaux or reporting workflows (nice to have)
- Experience with policy administration systems, underwriting workbenches or finance systems (e.g. SAP) (nice to have)
- Consulting background (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, Accenture, Capgemini etc.) (nice to have)
- Exposure to data quality, controls frameworks or operational improvement initiatives (nice to have)

This is a hands-on delivery role working across business and technology teams, requiring strong domain expertise across reinsurance operations, pricing, data, or underwriting processes within the London Market.
Assignment Details :Initial 6-month contract (extension likely based on programme delivery)Start Date : ASAP (c.1-2 weeks fast-track onboarding)Location : London/Hybrid (2 days min on site)Day Rate : £500 p/day + 12.07 % accrued daily hol pay (via PAYE) (~£560 total)
