Summary: The Business Analyst role focuses on driving technological, regulatory, and business improvements within the Investment Operations department of a well-known Wealth Management firm. The successful candidate will implement changes to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency while providing analytical support and building relationships with key stakeholders. A strong background in Investment Operations is essential for this position. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Investment Operations and Custodian Services teams to implement technological and regulatory improvements.
- Provide analytical support to keep pace with changes in the Investment Operations environment.
- Support project planning and delivery for new functionalities or system enhancements.
- Produce meaningful MI and KPIs for operational efficiency and compliance.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across various departments.
Key Skills:
- Business Analyst or Change Analyst experience within Investment Operations.
- Advanced Excel skills with data analysis experience.
- Experience with BI visualization tools, such as Power BI.
- Desirable SQL skills or willingness to learn.
- Experience in Wealth Management or Financial Services within an Investment Operations support environment.
- Strong analytical skills for handling large numerical data sets.
- Project management experience covering business change and IT.

The Role:
The Business Analyst will work with the Investment Operations and Custodian Services business teams to drive technological, regulatory and business improvements across the Investment Operations department.
The successful candidate must have Business Analyst experience specifically within Investment Operations.
The Business Analyst will focus on implementing change within the Investment Operations function to meet the needs of a rapidly growing Wealth Management business, ensuring a smooth and efficient service is delivered to clients and business units.
The Business Analyst will provide analytical support across the Investment Operations and Custodian department to keep pace with the changing environment. Support the planning and delivery of projects such as implementing new functionality or Investment Operations systems or enhancing existing processes.
The Business Analyst will produce meaningful and accurate MI and KPIs that are well-presented, contribute to Custodian Services policy and procedural reviews, with a view to achieving improved investment operational efficiency, regulatory or audit compliance
The Business Analyst will build strong working relationships with all key Custodian Services stakeholders (the Front Office, IT, Compliance, Risk etc.)
The Candidate:
MUST HAVE Business Analyst / Change Analyst experience specifically within Investment Operations.
Advanced Excel (specific experience with data analysis)
Experience with BI visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI)
SQL is desirable, or a willingness to learn
Wealth management and/or Financial Services experience, gained within an Investment Operations support environment
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, validate and draw conclusions from large numerical data sets
Experience in managing projects covering business change and IT
