Summary: The Business Analyst for Internal Audit Transformation will play a crucial role in enhancing digital audit capabilities through Gen AI and automation within a global banking group's internal audit function. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a partner to the internal audit function, streamlining audit processes and methodology
- Support the design and implementation of digital tooling, automation, and Gen AI use cases
- Help develop and deliver a robust audit data strategy and associated workflows
- Bridge communication between audit SMEs and the technical transformation team
- Enable knowledge transfer and embed capability uplift across the audit lifecycle
- Translate legacy, manual workflows into sustainable future-state solutions
- Contribute to strategic audit planning, assurance delivery, and regulatory alignment
Key Skills:
- Solid Business Analysis experience within transformation/change environments
- Prior experience working within financial services or banking environments, ideally supporting audit, risk, or controls transformation
- Prior exposure to internal audit, assurance, or risk/governance frameworks
- Understanding of audit methodologies and the importance of control execution
- Experience in data process mapping, automation, or Gen AI-related uplift desirable
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with senior non-technical users
- Familiarity with tools such as ApianT is a bonus but not essential

Business Analyst: Internal Audit Transformation (Gen AI & Automation) Robert Half is working with a major international consulting firm to appoint a Business Analyst for a high-impact transformation initiative within the internal audit function of a global banking group . The role will focus on enabling digital audit capability through Gen AI, automation, and improved audit execution processes – aligned to a 2026 future-state vision. This opportunity is ideal for a transformation-focused BA who understands assurance, governance, and internal control environments, and is ready to drive modernisation within a traditionally manual audit structure.
Contract Assignment Details:
- Location: London (Hybrid – 1–2 days onsite per week, flexible)
- Start Date: c. 21-28 July 2025 (interview and onboarding process expected to take approx. 2–3 weeks)
- Contract Length: 6 Months - through December 2025 (with strong extension prospects into 2026)
- Rate: £450 p/day via PAYE PLUS 12.07% holiday pay accrued ). Employer’s NI & tax already taken care of at source – unlike umbrella companies where these costs come out of your rate )
