Summary: The Business Analyst role focuses on supporting infrastructure carve-out projects within a leading organization undergoing significant business transition. The position involves collaborating with IT infrastructure SMEs to gather requirements, produce technical documentation, and ensure alignment between business and technical teams. The analyst will play a crucial role in mapping dependencies, documenting security requirements, and facilitating stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to identify and document technical and business requirements for infrastructure carve-out projects.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of existing systems, dependencies, and integration points.
  • Ensure all requirements align with business goals and technical feasibility.
  • Develop technical specifications, diagrams, and process flows in collaboration with SMEs.
  • Produce artefacts such as data flow diagrams, system architecture blueprints, and risk assessments.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for stakeholder alignment.
  • Work with infrastructure SMEs to map dependencies for migrations, particularly for Mail, Active Directory (AD), and associated systems.
  • Document security requirements and ensure they are incorporated into project planning.
  • Assess and document the impact of carve-out activities on infrastructure environments.
  • Serve as a liaison between business teams and technical teams to ensure alignment.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to clarify requirements and validate solutions.
  • Support project managers in tracking timelines and milestones.
  • Review and validate artefacts to ensure they meet technical standards and project objectives.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges, proposing mitigation strategies.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT infrastructure projects, especially carve-out or migration projects.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies (Mail systems, AD, security frameworks, ITSM).
  • Ability to create detailed technical specifications and documentation.
  • Familiarity with security principles, compliance, access controls, and data protection.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in infrastructure carve-out or separation projects.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience using Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools for technical diagrams.
  • Awareness of ITIL frameworks and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and quality-focused.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable in fast-paced project environments.
