Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Analyst to join a dynamic and fast-paced organisation. This role is responsible for bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring that strategic objectives are translated into clear business requirements and successful project outcomes. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving business change, process improvement, and technology transformation initiatives across multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyse, document, and validate business requirements through workshops, interviews, process reviews, and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, project managers, product owners, architects, and technical teams to define solutions that meet business needs.
  • Produce high-quality documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, User Stories, Process Maps, Gap Analyses, and Data Requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, define scope, and achieve agreement on project deliverables.
  • Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for operational improvement, automation, efficiency gains, and cost reduction.
  • Support the development of target operating models, business process redesign, and transformation initiatives.
  • Work closely with development and testing teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and accurately implemented.
  • Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including test planning, test execution, defect management, and business sign-off.
  • Conduct impact assessments, risk analysis, and change management activities where required.
  • Support programme governance by providing updates, status reports, requirements traceability, and documentation throughout the project life cycle.
  • Ensure solutions align with organisational objectives, regulatory requirements, and best practice standards.

Skills and Experience: Essential:

  • Proven experience working as a Business Analyst within large-scale change, transformation, or technology programmes.
  • Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Experience gathering and documenting complex business and functional requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Experience using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and leading requirement-gathering sessions.

Desirable

  • Experience within banking, financial services, capital markets, insurance, or other regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of regulatory change initiatives and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with data analysis, process modelling, and business process improvement techniques.
  • Experience working with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Professional certifications such as BCS Business Analysis, CBAP, Agile BA, or equivalent.
