Summary: The Technology Lead – Data Migration / Business Analysis role in Nottingham requires an experienced professional with expertise in business analysis and data migration. Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyse information related to existing data structures, data sources, business processes, and system dependencies.
- Analyse the legacy system data model, data volumes, data quality, and usage patterns.
- Capture and define business, functional, and non-functional requirements related to data migration activities.
- Identify data mapping requirements, transformation rules, validation needs, and migration constraints.
- Work with business stakeholders to establish acceptance criteria for migrated data.
- Identify gaps between current data models and target system data structures.
- Support the design and development of the future-state data model and migration strategy.
- Define the high-level migration scope, including in-scope and out-of-scope data entities.
- Assess risks, issues, and potential impacts associated with migration activities.
- Document system dependencies and process flows that may influence migration planning.
- Identify opportunities for data cleansing, archiving, and data quality improvement.
- Produce detailed documentation including data dictionaries, data mapping documents, process maps, discovery findings, and gap analysis reports.
- Present analysis findings and recommendations clearly to business and technical stakeholders.
- Act as a communication bridge between business teams and technical teams to ensure alignment during the migration process.
