Our customer has recently completed the procurement of a new Single Customer View (SCV) data platform and are seeking a Data Business Analyst who can bridge the gap between business operations, department stakeholders and the digital technical team. The customer wish to utilize the data once migrated, align usage and data selection to business goals and be guided on actionable tactics that will quickly realise the value of the data.
Data is collected across a number of channels, and when unified through the new platform, is expected to allow the customer to improve customer experience through more personalised and proactive communications, enhance operational efficiency, support targeted marketing campaigns, and strengthen reporting and insight capabilities for data-driven decision making.
The successful consultant will engage across departments (Marketing, Commercial, Operations, Customer, Engineering, Finance, HR) to capture requirements and build a view.
The desired output from the Data Business Analyst is to produce documentation that contains findings, allowing the customer to identify what data is held, what KPIs should be employed, what data requires manipulation, and suggested relevant actions and tactics to move the needle on KPIs.
Essential Skills & Experience
Gap Analysis - Ability to assess the status quo, understand systems and processes, and identity the data that's held in the SCV solution that holds opportunity to add value to those assessed areas while also identifying risks, dependencies, and opportunities.
Data Value Awareness - Experience working with customer data, with the ability to identify how it can be used to align with business goals and deliver measurable value
Stakeholder Management - Proven experience engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including Marketing, Customer Services, Front Line station and train staff, IT, Data/Analytics teams, and external vendors.
Requirements Gathering - Skilled in eliciting, documenting, and validating requirements using tools such as user stories, use cases, process flows, and data mapping.
