Summary: The Business Analyst role involves supporting strategic business initiatives within a Specialty Insurance organization in Manchester on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, document business processes, and assess solutions across various transformation projects. The role is integral to the Change Team, reporting to the Business Analyst Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of strategic business initiatives across a major Lloyd’s Managing Agent.
  • Gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders.
  • Document current and future business processes.
  • Assess proposed solutions for regulatory, operating model, and technology transformation projects.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure effective communication.
  • Utilize business process modeling tools for documentation.
  • Participate in project/programme implementation and software delivery.
  • Conduct business process re-engineering activities.
  • Assess system impacts, data, reporting, and analytics considerations.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the London Insurance market or financial services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in project/programme implementation and software delivery.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Core BA skills: stakeholder management, negotiation, influencing, critical thinking, problem solving, prioritisation.
  • Expertise in eliciting and documenting requirements, including ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ process mapping.
  • Familiarity with business process modeling tools (e.g. Visio, Lucidchart).
  • Experience with requirements management and Agile tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence).

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of strategic business initiatives across a major Lloyd’s Managing Agent.
