Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and operationalisation of the Common Data Model (CDM).
  • Map data from multiple source systems into the CDM and from the CDM into target domains.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure high-quality data governance.
  • Interpret complex data structures and translate them into business-friendly formats.
  • Contribute to regulatory reporting and management information dashboards.

Key Skills:

  • Proven Data Business Analysis experience within Financial Services, preferably banking.
  • Strong experience in data mapping, data integration, or ETL processes.
  • Hands-on SQL experience.
  • Experience working with cloud data, ideally GCP.
  • Familiarity with CDM frameworks or Canonical data models.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Data Business Analyst – Data, Common Data Model (CDM), Data Mapping, Data Lineage, Banking, ETL, Data Integration, SQL, GCP – Financial Services - £500/day Outside IR35

My client, a UK commercial, lending and savings bank, is seeking a Data Business Analyst to join their London based team on a contract basis on a hybrid basis (3 days per week in the office).

You will support the development and operationalisation of our Common Data Model (CDM). You will play a key role in mapping data from multiple source systems—such as core banking, lending systems, and general ledger—into the CDM, and from the CDM into target domains including regulatory reporting, dashboards, and management information.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with business and technical teams to ensure high-quality, well-governed, and reliable data across the organisation.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Proven Data Business Analysis experience within the Financial Services (preferably within banking, especially lending and credit domains)
  • Strong experience in data mapping, data integration or ETL processes
  • Hands on SQL experience
  • Experience working with cloud data (ideally GCP)
  • Ability to interpret complex data structures and translate them into business-friendly formats.
  • Experience with CDM frameworks or Canonical data models would be highly beneficial
  • Regulatory reporting experience
  • Excellent communication skills
