Summary: The role of Business Analyst focuses on supporting a data modernisation programme within a leading global financial institution, specifically in fund accounting. This 6-12 month contract involves collaborating with various teams to enhance data product availability and improve client experiences. The position requires a strong background in fund accounting and data analysis, along with the ability to work in an Agile environment. The role offers a hybrid working model, requiring three days per week in the Canary Wharf office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse domain data and operational processes related to Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Regulatory Reporting.
- Collaborate with business architecture, technology, and other teams for strategic decision-making.
- Elicit and document functional requirements, user stories, and oversee development, testing, and implementation of new functionality.
- Act as a fund accounting and data Subject Matter Expert, documenting and expanding the knowledge base for specific applications.
- Partner with upstream and downstream teams, including external vendors, to resolve technical and functional challenges.
- Contribute to release planning and management reporting.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Operational background in fund administration with domain expertise in fund accounting.
- Strong understanding of financial systems, including FIS Global InvestOne.
- Strong data analysis skills with experience in data technologies including SQL and Python.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
