Summary: A financial services company is looking for a Finance & IT Business Analyst to support a Finance Transformation Project, focusing on the implementation of new finance systems and process optimization. The role requires collaboration across finance, IT, and operations, with an emphasis on system configurations and regulatory compliance. This position is ideal for a mid-level analyst with strong technical skills and experience in finance transformation. The contract is for 6 months and is classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of new finance systems, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
- Assess and document current financial processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and automation.
- Work closely with finance, IT, and business teams to translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and IT teams to configure finance system functionalities across areas such as general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, and cash management.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with financial regulations (e.g., IFRS, Basel III).
- Develop training materials and deliver training sessions to support system adoption.
- Define test cases, conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and validate system functionality.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within financial services.
- Hands-on experience with new finance system implementations, particularly across financial modules.
- Strong understanding of finance processes, banking operations, and accounting principles.
- Experience with business process mapping, automation, and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI).
- Ability to engage with cross-functional teams, translating complex business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience handling challenging conversations.
Salary (Rate): £500
