Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse and document complex business and user requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand current processes, challenges and opportunities for improvement.
  • Map as-is and to-be processes, identifying gaps, dependencies and opportunities for transformation.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews and discovery sessions with a range of stakeholders.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and multidisciplinary delivery teams to support backlog development and prioritisation.
  • Analyse complex information and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Identify and manage requirements, risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies.
  • Support digital services throughout the delivery lifecycle, from Discovery and Alpha through to Beta and Live.
  • Champion user-centred, evidence-led approaches to service transformation.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience working as a Business Analyst on complex digital transformation programmes.
  • Previous experience working within the NHS or healthcare sector.
  • Good understanding of NHS environments, stakeholders and the complexities involved in delivering healthcare services.
  • Strong business process mapping and requirements-gathering experience.
  • Experience producing user stories, acceptance criteria and other Agile delivery artefacts.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and engaging with senior and operational stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile delivery and user-centred design (UCD) approaches.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary digital teams.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience of GDS and/or NHS digital service standards would be advantageous.

Working Arrangements

The role can be based from Manchester, London, or Leeds, with hybrid working across office/client locations and home.

Candidates should be comfortable working onsite when required as part of the programme's hybrid working model.

This is an initial 6-month contract, Inside IR35, offering the opportunity to contribute to a significant NHS digital transformation programme and the development of services that directly impact patients and healthcare professionals.
