Summary: The Business Analyst role focuses on supporting a critical Identity & Access Management (IAM) programme within the NHS, requiring extensive hospital experience. The candidate will engage with clinical and operational staff to document access needs and act as a liaison between end users and technical teams. This position is hybrid based in Leeds and is expected to last for six months. The successful applicant will ensure that access control requirements are effectively captured and delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with front-line NHS staff (clinicians, nurses, administrative and operational teams) to capture access control requirements.
- Analyse and document Identity & Access Management (IAM) needs across multiple user groups.
- Work with IT and security teams to translate business requirements into IAM processes, controls, and solutions.
- Develop documentation including process flows, requirements specifications, and user stories.
- Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies in current access management processes.
- Support governance, compliance, and assurance activities related to IAM in NHS environments.
Key Skills:
- Strong NHS experience, ideally hospital-based and front-line focused.
- Proven ability to work directly with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
- Expertise in Identity & Access Management (IAM) and access control principles.
- Demonstrated experience gathering and analysing business and security requirements.
- Strong documentation skills: requirements, workflows, and business cases.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Desirable: Previous involvement in NHS digital identity or IAM programmes.
- Understanding of information governance, cyber security, and compliance within healthcare.
- Familiarity with IAM tools or platforms (e.g., Azure AD, NHS identity solutions, RBAC).
