Summary: The Business Information Analyst role is focused on supporting a major digital transformation programme within the energy/utilities sector. The position involves working with stakeholders to define information requirements and ensuring data is effectively managed across various business functions. The analyst will also be responsible for gathering and documenting business information needs, analyzing information flows, and collaborating with multiple teams to facilitate solution design. This role requires strong experience in business analysis and information management disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and document business Information Requirements
- Analyse and map information flows, identifying gaps, risks, and data quality issues
- Support requirements for systems integration, reporting, and data modelling
- Work with stakeholders across functions including Construction, Quality, Asset Management, HR, and H&S
- Collaborate with Business, Process, and Information Architects to support solution design
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams (Integration, Data Engineering, Power BI)
- Manage multiple concurrent projects (typically 2–3) and ensure deliverables are completed on time
Key Skills:
- 3+ years’ Business Analysis experience in enterprise environments
- 5+ years’ experience across the digital systems development lifecycle
- Strong experience in requirements gathering and documentation
- Background in Information Management disciplines such as: Information Architecture, Information Analysis, Master Data Management, Data Administration
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Desirable: Experience within energy, utilities, infrastructure, or regulated sectors
- Desirable: Exposure to Power BI, data engineering, or enterprise data environments
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience
