Summary: The Business Analyst will join the Surgery Business Team on a 9-month temporary basis to support data-driven decision-making, particularly regarding the Trust's RTT performance. This role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to analyze data and provide insights aimed at enhancing patient care and operational efficiency. The position offers opportunities for professional development within a supportive and collaborative environment. The working model is hybrid, requiring at least one day onsite each week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Deputy Chief Operating Officer with RTT waiting time and performance standards analysis.
- Monitor and report on RTT trajectories and improvement scenarios.
- Create activity plans for the 2025-26 Planning round linked to RTT national compliance targets.
- Develop and automate models for RTT trajectories.
- Lead Demand and Capacity for RTT, supporting services in model usage and interpretation.
- Ensure effective data capture for RTT performance monitoring.
- Benchmark UHDB RTT performance with peers to identify improvement areas.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in a Data Analyst role within a healthcare setting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Experience in developing and automating models for performance tracking.
- Proficiency in using business intelligence tools (SQL, Power BI) for data analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of RTT performance standards and reporting requirements is highly desirable.
