Summary: RED is seeking a Business Analyst for a Financial Crime Business Analysis project, with a contract lasting until December 31, 2026. The role requires a hybrid working arrangement, with 2-3 days per week on-site in London, starting on March 9, 2026. The position mandates PAYE through an umbrella company and eligibility for BPSS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive analysis and change delivery across Financial Crime investigation workflows, including FIU processes.
- Conduct end-to-end business analysis, including requirements gathering, process design, UAT, and production readiness.
- Translate policy/regulatory changes into actionable processes and controls.
- Map and design FIU workflows with defined SLAs, hand-offs, audit trails, and control points.
- Utilize case management and Transaction Monitoring platforms.
- Define MI/reporting, data lineage, data quality checks, and dashboards for regulatory reporting.
- Plan and execute UAT, defect triage, operational readiness, and go-live support.
- Manage stakeholders across various departments including Compliance, Legal, and Technology.
- Apply core BA skills such as BPMN process mapping and Agile methodologies.
- Document policies, procedures, governance, and regulator-facing materials effectively.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in Financial Crime investigation workflows.

RED now has a new contract opportunity for a Business Analyst to join one of our key partners, for a new Financial Crime Business Analysis project. The contract will be until 31/12/2026.
This contract is to start 9th March and will be hybrid, with 2-3 days per week on-site in London.
This role MUST be PAYE through an umbrella company.
Contractor must be eligible for BPSS.
Specific skills/experience required:
- Strong experience driving analysis and change delivery across Financial Crime (FC) investigation workflows, including FIU processes (STR/SAR handling, case triage, escalations, and regulatory reporting).
- Several years of experience in end-to-end business analysis, including requirements gathering (BRD/FRD/Use Cases), process design, UAT, and production readiness.
- Strong expertise translating policy/regulatory changes (FATF, FCA/JMLSG, EU AMLDs) into actionable processes and controls.
- Deep experience mapping and designing FIU workflows (intake, triage, investigation, escalation, SAR submission) with defined SLAs, hand-offs, audit trails, and control points.
- Hands-on experience with case management and Transaction Monitoring platforms, such as Actimize, Mantas, SAS, NetReveal, NICE, or Pega.
- Knowledge of integrations with screening tools (World-Check, Dow Jones, LexisNexis), open banking/APIs, and data warehouses.
- Experience defining MI/reporting, data lineage, data quality checks, and dashboards for regulatory and committee reporting.
- Strong delivery experience: UAT planning, execution, defect triage, operational readiness, runbooks, and go-live support.
- Excellent stakeholder management, including FIU leads, FC Ops, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Product, and Technology.
- Strong core BA skills: BPMN process mapping, user stories, traceability, change control, JIRA/Confluence, Agile/Scrum.
- Excellent communication skills and structured documentation ability for policy, procedures, governance, and regulator-facing materials.
