Summary: The Business Analyst role in Belfast focuses on the MiFID II Product Governance Enhancements for Markets Project within the Program Execution & Transformation team. The position requires a senior analyst to implement regulatory changes, enhance policies, and support project management activities. The role emphasizes collaboration with various stakeholders, including Business Managers and Compliance teams, to ensure effective governance throughout the product lifecycle. The contract is set to last until December 31, 2025, with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand regulatory requirements and gather business, legal, and compliance requirements.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify current state solutions against required enhancements.
- Propose solution options and document changes to or define new governance and reporting.
- Enhance BAU processes and controls, documenting new or changes to existing policies and procedures.
- Perform data analysis as required and support the project manager in meeting PMO standards.
- Assist the project manager with tracking implementation of deliverables and preparing materials for working groups.
- Support with facilitating UAT where applicable.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Business Analysis within Investment Banking.
- Experience implementing MiFID II Product Governance.
- Proven track record in Business Analysis/project delivery within a regulatory framework.
- Experience working with Business Managers, Front Office Trading & Sales, Legal, and Compliance.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
