Summary: The IAM Business Analyst role focuses on ensuring secure and consistent role-based access across the organization by translating business functions into structured role definitions. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct interviews and workshops with department leads and key stakeholders to gather role-related information.
- Analyze business processes and job functions to identify access needs and responsibilities.
- Define and document business roles, including associated permissions and access requirements.
- Collaborate with IAM and IT teams to align role definitions with access control policies.
- Maintain a centralized repository of business roles and ensure it remains up-to-date.
- Identify opportunities for role optimization and standardization across departments.
- Support audits and compliance initiatives by providing clear documentation of role definitions.
- Provide training and guidance to departments on role-based access concepts.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
- Proven experience in business analysis, IAM, or role-based access control.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and process orientation.
- Familiarity with IAM tools and frameworks is a plus.
- Experience with role mining or role engineering.
- Understanding of compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
