Role Title: Business Analyst ( Financial Services - Cards or Payments )Contract duration: 6 monthsLocation: Glasgow, UK- Hybrid Industry: bankingRequired Core Skills: -Business Analysis -Requirements Management -Analytical and Critical Thinking Nice to have skills: -Prototyping and Wireframing -Database and SQL Minimum years of experience: > 5 years Areas of responsibility: -Requirements Gathering -Requirements Elicitation -Business Process Modelling DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications: -Elicit and clearly document business and systems requirements -Serve as a liaison between Operations and IT to assist or gather business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancement and implementations -Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level; focusing on quality improvement and data management; ensuring data is reliable and valid; developing process improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination; integrating new systems and processes with existing ones; and partnering with internal and external customers to ensure systems provided meet the long-term business strategies -Support and align efforts to meet customer and business needs -Manage customer relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to keep others up-to-date on project results Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications: -Business Acumen -Excellent Communication Skills -Decision Making skills -Collaboration and Teamwork -Adaptability -Strong team player, willing to work on own initiative yet able to communicate well and integrate with a diverse team. -Confident, enthusiastic, always giving 100% to assigned tasks and being able to handle situations in which they have little or no previous experience. -Proactive, being able to effectively deal with change and identify, react and add value to issues that affect the team as a whole. -Good interpersonal skills, able to develop relationships with other IT teams and the business. -Thorough understanding of a software development lifecycle. -Strong problem-solving skills as well as the ability to manage several tasks/projects concurrently and prioritize work effectively. -A strong team player. Any Business Analyst Certification will be a plus.
