Summary: The Business Analyst - Financial Crime_Digital Onboarding role involves leading analysis activities related to Financial Crime change initiatives, including KYC, AML, and Onboarding. The position requires analytical leadership and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and effective solution design. The role is based in Northampton, with a hybrid working arrangement of 2-3 days in the office per week. The contract is set to last until December 31, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead definition of analysis scope, approach, deliverables and governance for Financial Crime change initiatives.
  • Drive high quality requirements elicitation, ensuring clarity, traceability, regulatory alignment and senior level challenge.
  • Produce structured, testable requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria across complex, cross functional workstreams.
  • Lead current state analysis, control reviews, data flow mapping and identification of systemic gaps and dependencies.
  • Shape future state processes, controls, and operating models, ensuring compliance, scalability and operational efficiency.
  • Influence senior stakeholders, facilitate workshops, drive alignment across business, tech and control functions.
  • Support solution design, test strategy coverage, and readiness planning, ensuring end to end delivery integrity.
  • Provide leadership in change adoption activities: training input, procedures/controls documentation and readiness assurance.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive BA experience in Financial Crime, regulatory, or control heavy change environments.
  • Strong leadership across requirements governance, process and control analysis, and cross functional delivery.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory expectations (AML, KYC, Sanctions) and translate into actionable requirements.
  • Excellent communication, structured documentation and senior stakeholder influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to drive analysis across complex, multi team programmes.

Role Description:
The Business Analyst will lead analysis activities across Financial Crime change initiatives, including KYC, AML, Sanctions, Onboarding, and c ontrol uplift programmes. The role provides analytical leadership, shapes solution design, ensures regulatory alignment, and influences decision making across senior stakeholders. The AVP will drive end to end analysis from scope definition through to implementation, acting as a key partner to SMEs, Product Owners, Compliance, Technology and Operations.

Desirable Skills:
Experience with enterprise level operating model and control framework design.
Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and workflow/automation platforms.
Experience in regulatory remediation, control uplift, or enforcement led programmes.
Experience mentoring or coaching BAs.
