Summary: The role of Business Analyst involves leading the analysis of projects for a Rail Transportation client, transforming high-level deliverables into organized user stories. The position requires collaboration with business users, development teams, and stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business needs. The Business Analyst will manage requirements, facilitate workshops, and produce documentation throughout the project lifecycle. This is a six-month fixed-term contract requiring on-site presence three days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with stakeholders to elicit, document, and refine business and functional requirements.
- Convert high-level business needs into user stories, workflows, and use cases.
- Manage the requirements backlog and collaborate with teams to prioritize and refine stories.
- Work closely with developers, testers, and project managers throughout the project life cycle.
- Ensure that the delivered solutions meet the required business outcomes.
- Facilitate workshops, create mock-ups, and produce clear, structured documentation.
Key Skills:
- Proven Track Record working as a Business Analyst, ideally on software projects.
- Extensive Experience in Process Improvement, Automation, and Optimization.
- Proficient in Visio, MS Office, and Agile Methodologies.
- Ideally, previously worked within Rail Transportation (Desirable, not essential).
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
