Summary: The Business Analyst role in Doncaster is a six-month fixed-term contract focused on leading the analysis of projects within the rail transportation sector. The position involves transforming high-level business requirements into user stories and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful IT project outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, particularly in software projects, and will engage closely with development teams and business users. This role requires on-site presence three days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with stakeholders to elicit, document, and refine business and functional requirements.
• Convert high-level business needs into user stories, workflows, and use cases.
• Manage the requirements backlog and collaborate with teams to prioritize and refine stories.
• Work closely with developers, testers, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure that the delivered solutions meet the required business outcomes.
• Facilitate workshops, create mock-ups, and produce clear, structured documentation.

Key Skills:

• Proven Track Record working as a Business Analyst ideally on software projects.
• Extensive Experience in Process Improvement, Automation and Optimization.
• Proficient in Visio, MS Office and Agile Methodologies.
• Ideally, previously worked within Rail Transportation (Desirable not essential).
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
