Summary: The role of Business Analyst - Data involves working on complex data programs within the investment industry or financial services. This 6-month contract position requires the candidate to work three days a week in the Edinburgh office, focusing on data and business analysis, and collaborating with various stakeholders. The position is classified as inside IR35 and offers a daily rate of up to £550. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work independently with ownership for large pieces of analysis on high priority projects
- Skilled in analysis planning, take ownership of analysis plan, review and adapt to meet project demands
- Lead data and business analysis and design effort in a complex project environment
- Proficient in data & business analysis and experience working with Data Architecture and Data Governance
- Collaborate with stakeholders, SMEs, POs etc. to derive and document functional and non-functional requirements and benefits for new MDS solution
- Effectively communicate requirements to third-party
- Collaborate with developers and testers to create high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure solutions meet business requirements
Key Skills:
- Proficient data and business analysis and in employing Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies to effectively document and define acceptance criteria
- Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent writing skills, with good attention to detail and an ability to combine quantitative and qualitative perspectives
- Excellent communication and influencing skills combining technical knowledge with articulate discussion
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Diligent and organised
- Deliver high quality results to strict deadlines
