Summary: The role of Business Analyst Contractor focuses on delivering a scalable data model for a client in the investment industry, based in Edinburgh. The position requires strong business and data analysis skills, with an emphasis on data governance and collaboration with technology teams and external vendors. The engagement is for an initial six months and is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a highly scalable data model to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with external vendors to enhance data clarity across pricing, entity, and security data.
- Reduce manual processes and improve data security through governance.
- Engage with technology teams including Developers, PMs, and Product Owners.
- Manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
Key Skills:
- Extensive background in business analysis and data analysis.
- Experience in Agile and Waterfall environments.
- Knowledge of investment industry data providers (Bloomberg, ICE, Reuters, LSEG).
- Strong knowledge of equities, Fixed Income, derivatives, and funds.
- BDD experience.
- Understanding of the Software Developer Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
