Summary: The Business Analyst role focuses on Middle Office Technologies within the oil sector, requiring extensive experience in business analysis, particularly in calculating Management Information and understanding deal life cycles. The position involves collaboration with various teams to manage exposure risks and improve processes in an Agile environment. The candidate will also support project delivery and ensure compliance with new legislation while providing analytical assessments. This role demands strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct business analysis for daily Management Information related to crude/lights/distillate/assets and derivative books.
  • Collaborate with Commodity Risk and Front Office Traders for hedging and exposure risk management.
  • Explain Profit & Loss movements and act as a Subject Matter Expert on various financial aspects.
  • Evaluate current controls and processes in the ETRM domain for continuous improvement.
  • Engage in Agile activities such as sprint planning and daily scrums.
  • Ensure systems meet urgent business requirements and liaise with Pricing & Settlements teams.
  • Support the full project life cycle and manage dependencies with other workstreams.
  • Provide quality assurance on analysis deliverables and manage user expectations.
