Summary: The Business Analyst for the Connect Programme at The ExtraCare Charitable Trust in Coventry will be responsible for understanding and prioritizing business requirements from various stakeholders, simplifying them for management analysis, and recommending solutions to enhance productivity. This role involves close collaboration with project managers to implement solutions aligned with the organization's goals, as well as producing detailed documentation and business process models. The position is offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract with a salary of £45,000 plus benefits, including hybrid working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and prioritize business requirements from multiple stakeholders.
- Interpret and simplify business requirements for management analysis.
- Create detailed documentation of business requirements, processes, and solutions.
- Recommend solutions and create change management proposals to increase productivity.
- Collaborate with project/programme managers to implement solutions.
- Gather intelligence about business needs from all organizational levels.
- Produce end-to-end business process models (As Is, To Be, and transitional states).
- Identify risks in current and proposed IT systems.
- Evaluate business development and IT strategies for improvement opportunities.
- Document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications and test plans.
- Ensure plans are in place to evaluate the impact of changes made.
- Develop training literature and materials to expedite processes.
- Create and maintain standards and ways of working.
Key Skills:
- Effective interpersonal skills for establishing working relationships.
- Ability to present cases persuasively at all organizational levels.
- LEAN, IT, and/or Change Management Qualification (ideal).
- ITIL Foundation Certificate or equivalent (considered).
- Experience in creating functional specifications based on business needs.
- Track record of redesigning business processes for performance improvement.
- Experience in large-scale system implementation projects, particularly Housing Management Systems.
- Familiarity with core business analysis tools and techniques.
- Understanding of team challenges and ability to develop solutions.
- Previous experience in the housing sector (desirable).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics solutions/Power Apps and Power Platforms (advantageous).
